Balikpapan Operation July 1-31, 1945 - A Jap four million C.P. volt, 40" searchlight captured by the Australians intact. The Japs were trying to transport the light to a rear area when it was captured. In the foreground is the three cylinder diesel engine and generator which furnished power for the light. 24 July 1945.
