Volkewagen in France

FRANCE - Members of a U.S. Army 9th Air Force Service Command Ordnance Section, declare that the German Volkewagen is decidedly inferior to the jeep, and the lightness of the vehicle limits its use to carrying personnel. The Volkewagen differs from the jeep in that it has an engine mounted in the rear, a nose which tapers from the windshield to the bumper, two doors on each side and a smooth underside.
