Viper Rocket-Propelled Missile

PICTURES FROM GENERAL ARNOLD'S REPORT GERMAN WEAPONS -- The "Viper" had a maximum speed of 620 miles per hour. It was a piloted, rocket-propelled missile, designed to attack Allied aircraft with cannon, rockets, or by ramming. The pilot could eject himself mechanically, prior to ramming attack. The Germans had many lethal weapons in various stages of development at the end of the war which might have caused the Allies severe losses in aircraft. A captured German photograph.
