USAAF BOMBS JAP AIRFIELD AT BORAM, NEW GUINEA - The Jap airfield at Boram, near Wewak, on the north coast of New Guinea, has been the target of many missions of the U.S.A.Fifth A.F. On 9/27/43, U.S. airmen surprised enemy aircraft on the ground, destroyed 50 & damaged many more. The remarkable photos were made at a level far below that of m pictures, & show the area under attack at Boram.
