US 14th Air Force destroys runway

Although pin point bombing by Americans has become a commonplace, the neat job of destruction on this runway was done on the ground. The U.S. 14th Air Force had to destroy installations here before evacuating. This is Tanchuk Air Base on the West River in Kwangsi Province, China, which fell into Japanese hands during the recent enmy thrust from Canton.
