Udine Airdrome bombed by 15th AAF

Notched nicely in clear landmarks, the hangar and administration area of the Udine Airdrome in Northern Italy, catches the first bombs of a heavy raid by the Fortresses of the 15th AAF on 31 January. In support of the ground operations in the Rome area, the Strategic Air Force has hammered the Luftwaffe off the dromes in the battle area, chased them north to refugee fields. Udine was one of these fields.
