U.S. Fighters over Libya

North Africa - Holes in the tail of U.S. Fighters were caused by 20 mm cannon shells in a recent combat over Libya. The pilot, Capt. George D. Mobbs of Wooster, Ark., was severely wounded in the aerial battle with several German ships but through superior flying ability brought his ship home.
