U-boat pens at St Nazaire

The U-boat pens at St. Nazaire looked like this to Flying Fortress and Liberator crews on a raid. Many bursts are seen on the target, also hits on the machine shop works, stores for submarines and railroad yards, all within the target area. At the mouth of the Loire, this former ship-building center which launched the liner "Normandie" can accommodate between 25 and 30 U-boats.
