Two Flying ofrtresses collided in mid-air over England recently but

Two Flying Fortresses collided in mid-air over England recently but due to excellent piloting, both were able to land safely at their home base. This photo shows damaged rudder and verticle fin being inspected by part of the fortunate crew. Tail gunner, S/Sgt. Michael Fenchek, New Castle, Pa., is standing over tail position; T/Sgt. Raymond Bisson, Barre, Vt., radio operator; and S/Sgt. Gladyes Wallace, Alameda, Calif., waist gunner stand on the ground. Other Forts's horizontal stabilizer crashed into this plane's tail.
