Two Divisions Were Moved To China From Burma In Dec

Two Divisions were moved to China from Burma in Dec. 44 and Jan. 45, to stop what was believed to be a Jap drive on the key city of Kweiyang, China. The air movement of 25,491 Chinese and American soldiers, 1,596 horses and mules, 42 jeeps, 48 75 mm Howitzers, 48 42 mortars, 48 75 A/T guns and miscellaneous supplies and equipment was accomplished in 24 flying days, involving 1,351 sorties.
