Trains held up

Three trains were held up on this single track line in the vicinity of Chartres when the fighter bomber pilots knocked key freight cars off the track. With the track blocked there was no necessity for the pilots to damage further the rolling stock and most of it, plus the supplies contained on the cars, fell into Allied hands. Rail damage
