This mammoth oil storage tank on Bonjoe Island, just off the Borneo
This mammoth oil storage tank on Bonjoe Island, just off the Borneo coast, is on fire after a lone B-24 Liberator of the "Snooper" unit of the U.S. Army 13th Air Force ignited the pipeline leading to the tank. The Snoopers are the firebugs for the "fightin 13th" and have hit virtually every major port and oil center on the northern half of Borneo and its outlying smaller islands.
