The two Japanese ships in the background have just gone down and the one in the foreground is on fire after planes of the 5th Air Force's 3rd Bombardment Group, 13th Bombardment Squadron flew in very low to deliver their parachute bombs on June 9, 1944. Note the brush which has been used to camouflage these ships.
