A Jap air warning station was located here about 200 yards south of the strip. The house was used as a main telephone exchange for the airdrome area and an air warning siren was located in the tower. It is believed probable that this was merely a warning signal for the barracks area located in that section. Evidently most of the airdrome personnel were living just south of the strip. Labuan, Borneo, N.E.I. 17 June 1945.
