Test Pilots At Burtonwood Air Depot

Two test pilots at the Warrington Burtonwood Air Depot in England, where flak-torn planes are repaired and modified for future missions, chat together just before the plane is taken up for a test flight. They are 1st Lt. William T. Maier of Dowagiac, Mich., and 1st Lt. Richard Z. MacDonald. Pvt. William C. Eadler of Hamilton, Ohio, left, tightens the cowling of the plane. 30 October 1943.
