Steel landing mat at Robertsport

The beach at Robertsport where the steel landing mat was unloaded from the S.S. Cathlemet. The surfboats which transferred the cargo from ship to shore averaged a four ton load per trip. With eight surfboats operating, an average of four trips daily was made by each boat. Unloading of the S.S. Cathlemet commenced Sept. 15, 1942, and was completed on Sept. 25, 1942.
