Soldiers stationed at a 9th Air Force Troop Carrier Command field have built an entire camp from emptied glider crates. The place is called "Shantytown" and is complete with postoffice, barbershop, recreation rooms, workshops and comfortable huts. In the above photo, made in the "Shantytown" hospital, Pvt. Michael Hunia of Kittanning, Pa., looks on while Sgt. James F. Saxon of Chicago, Ill., prepares a bed for an incoming patient.
