Sikorsky YR-4 helicopter in Burma

The YR-4 helicopter, while on a rescue mission, ran short of gas as it approached Sinkaling Hkanti, Burma, and set down on a sand bank on the Chindwin River nearby. Fuel was dropped to the helicopter from a Vultee L-5 escort plane. A group of Burmese flocked about the helicopter immediately after it landed.
