Siegfried Line near Zweibrucken

The Siegfried Line near Zweibrucken through which the assaulting 7th Army must pass in its drive into the Saar Palatinate. This aerial photograph, taken from a 1st Tac. Air Force Martin B-26 Marauder before the medium bombers carpeted the area with high explosives, shows the dragon teeth and tank ditch obstacles, communication trenches to underground fortification and some on-ground installations, clearly defined in the enemy's main defense belt.
