Sgt Wills N Gardner with 458th Bomb Group

At 46, Sgt. Wills N. Gardner, of Eire, Pa., is the oldest air gunner on combat duty with the 458th Bomb Group of the U.S. 8th AF 2nd Air Div. Sgt. Gardner served 16 months in France in the last war and saw action with the 56th Artillery during the Argonne campaign. He has flown on 26 missions over Germany, holds the Air Medal with three clusters and was a glider pilot before he became a gunner.
