Repair of Okinawa rock wall

When S/Sgt John Flannagan, left, 1025 Meadowbrook Ave., Los Angeles, California., and Cpl. Frank Gattuso, 905 Sheridon Place, Memphis Tenn., right, began repair of this old Okinawa rock wall near their 7th AAF fighter base, they enlisted this aged native for light labor. The old Okinawan, exasperated with soldier efforts, bflushed the Americans aside, took charge of the detail, fitted rocks himself with the skill of years of experience. He orders his "bosses" around by grunts and signs.
