Red Cross Clubmobile in England

SOMEWHERE IN ENGLAND--American Red Cross workers, who travel about England in a "clubmobile" to serve doughnuts and coffee, meet some fellow travelers in these 8th Air Force Service Command mechanics who make up a mobile repair unit crew. The mobile repair unit is designed to move around and to travel to a battle-damaged airplane to handle "on-the-spot" repairs. On this particular job, the mobile repair unit is working on a Flying Fortress that made a forced landing in a farmer's field. The workshop of the repair crew can be seen in the huge trailer in the background. This trailer is equipped with machine shop tools and has its own electric generating plant.
