RAILROAD DEVASTATION IN HUNGARY - These are the Hatvan marshalling yards in Hungary as heavy bombers of Major General Nathan F. Twining's U.S. Army 15th Air Force found them. Note the two puffs of smoke near center of train group. The "strangle target" is receiving its first bombs. Bottom photo shows crains which are almost completely covered by smoke from the bombs. This is part of the strangle operation conducted by the Air Forces in the Balkan campaign.
