Lying where they fell, these rail cars were on the receiving end of Mediterranean Allied Air Force bombs during a raid on this rail bridge of the Arezzo-Florence railroad line in Northern Italy. The operations were part of the campaign to choke off the supplies to the Nazi troops on the Italian front.
