This radar van houses the transmitter, Keyer and radar scopes of the 270 DA radar unit of the 6th Marine Air Warning Squadron. It is well camouflaged under trees and protected by sand bags. The station is on top of a hill overlooking the east coast of Okinawa, Ryukyu Retto, near Awase Air-field, 6 August 1945.
