Precision Bombing of Germany

Long before our troops crossed the Rhine, we knew that vital power was being drained from Germany by relentless precision bombing of her industry. Photo interpreters determined what factories were producing what types of war materiel. They knew how many aircraft the Germans had available. They studied the jet and rocket weapons. Their oil production estimates were accurate to within a few tons. By means of allied photography, all of German industry became a tableau to examine at will. PHOTOGRAPHS TOLD THE STORY.
