Polish Pilot with Zemke's Group over Germany

POLISH FLYER SCORES DOUBLE: Obtaining permission to fly with Col. Zemke's famed fighter group on the mission to Brunswick, Germany 21 Feb 1944, Capt Michael B. Gradyck, a Polish pilot with ten victories to his credit, shot down two Nazi Me 109's to become only double-bagger of the day for the group. Capt. Gradyck, who holds five citations including the Croix de Guerre, has flown many types of Allied fighters. On the Brunswick mission he flew a Republic P-47.
