Plant at North Mukden

North Mukden, Manchuria - Buildings here had been reported as a fuselage and assembly plant. But on 19 June 44 this valuable photo revealed that plant is for modifications and repairs. Key: (1,11) administration, (2,3,6,7) hangars--some under construction, (4) workers' quarters, (5) power, 8,9) workshops, (10) probable foundry, (12) boiler house. Lower left: ancient Manchu tomb. Round trip for this mission was 2,150 miles, all but 90 of them over enemy territory.
