Planes over German targets

PFF planes such as these flying high above German targets were able to see covered objectives thousands of feet below mirrored as small clusters of light in the screen of the Mickey instrument which they carried. The revolving micro-wave antenna which sends out and picks up impulses is housed in the covered "blister" in back of the bomb bay doors. AN/APS-15.
