Plane at photo reconnaissance mission

The morning of the photo reconnaissance mission there are two series of action that meet at the plane. The laboratory crew and the engineering crew; the laboratory men to install and check the cameras, the engineering to check the plane, and to insure the pilot that his plane is set to go. These two crews have been informed by the operations officer that there is a mission that morning from a base somewhere in North Africa. The men are, left to right: Crew Chief - Sgt. Ardell Hogstad, Wallace, So. Dakota; Pilot - Capt. George Humbrecht, St. Louis, Missouri; and PFC N.W. Peterson (with camera), Wethersfield, Conn. 12th Combat Camera Unit.
