"Dear Mom... Getting along fine... ". Pfc Earl McNeil, of Box 307, Tillamock, Oregon, won't tell his mother in the letter that he was hit by an 88 mm shell and that his teeth are held together with a rubber band, and his arms trussed up so that they can't be moved. An American Red Cross girl, Mrs. Shirley Stbphons, is writing the letter for him, at Prestwick, England before he is flown home.
