Perhaps a pastoral scene by Millet--except for the presence of the big bombers in the background. This shot was taken at a "Flying Fortress" base somewhere in England..the airdrome is set right in the middle of farm lands, with crops being raised and cattle being bred uninterrupted by war. This dairy herd managed some-how to wander onto one corner of the field--on the principle, no doubt, that distant fields are always greenest. 305th Bomb Gp. Thurleigh - near Bedford, England
