P51 Mustangs over Nazi airfield

In one of the fiercest strafing attacks ever carried out by 8th, AF North American P-51 Mustangs against a Nazi airfield, 2nd Lt. Gerald J. Miller of 71 Dayan St., Lowville, N.Y. was high scoring pilot of the 353rd Fighter Group when he destroyed nine enemy aircraft of the group's total of 110. The assault was made on Pocking airdrome, east of Munich.
