P51 Mustangs near Yellow River

A mission of Northern Based North American P-51 Mustangs picked an ammunition train on the Lung Hai railroad, near the Yellow River, west of Chenghsien, as a target. The results are shown in the accompanying photo. Striking at deck level the Mustangs scored direct hits on the target, completely destroying the train. The picture taken at thirty thousand feet, shows three Chinese communities, as well as the edge of one large city.
