P-61 Night Fighter Over North Burma

A Black Widow P-61 night fighter in flight over North Burma. Having effectively discouraged all Japanese attempts to raid North Burma by night, the P-61's have been equipped to carry 500-pound bombs and are now being used as fighter-bombers to attack Japanese escape routes by day. They are operating in the India Burma Theater under the 10th A.F., Eastern Air Command.
