P-51 Fighter in Nanning China

NANNING, CHINA - With the war in China moving at a faster pace new airstrips are again being built, under the supervision of American Air Corps engineers, to speed supplies, and bases for fighters and bombers. A North American P-51 fighter of the 14th A.F. taxis down the temporary landing runway while a part of the 11,000 Coolies working on the new strip can be seen in the background.
