P-47s over Fifth Army front

Here is evidence of the flaming destruction caused by the aerial flamethrower. Republic P-47's of the 57th Fighter Group hurled their tanks into the midst of a German assembly area at Pavulla, Italy on the Fifth Army front and started at least four great fires roaring through the wooded area and occupied village.
