Mechanics of the 333rd Fighter Squadron, 318th Fighter Group, force "gel gas" (a mixture of gasoline or Dies$el oil and Napalm) into 165 gallon auxiliary fuel tank which has been secured onto the bomb rack of a Republic P-47. Each P-47 carried two of these fire bombs on these special missions. Saipan, Marianas Islands. 26 July 1944.
