P-47 Thunderbolts near Modena

Brazilian pilots of the 12th A.F. Republic P-47 Thunderbolts made this clean cut of a railroad near Modena. This track was part of the approach to a bridge at Usiglio, Italy, which was also bombed. Cuts similar to this have made railroad transportation practically useless to the Germans in their retreat up the Boot.
