P-47 Thunderbolts bomb rails near Verona

This stretch of rails between Verona and Vicenza, Italy, was a straight line before Republic P-47 Thunderbolts of the U.S. 12th A.F. bombed the tracks and roadbeds, causing a slight change in direction. The clean cut and damage to this stretch and along many other enemy communication lines create astonishing delays in getting supplies to the Nazi troops in Italy.
