P-47 Thunderbolt near Lingerfild

German civilians run for shelter as a P-47 Thunderbolt fighter-bomber of the XIX tactical air command swoops low to strafe a rail yard near Lingerfield, Germany. Photo shows.50 calibre bullets striking a half track and a building used as headquarters for rail workers. The large gasoline tanker truck left of the headquarters structure and the freight cars at left were attacked by following planes.
