P-47 Squadron in Germany

Section chiefs of Maj. J.W. Motzenbecker's Republic P-47 Thunderbolt squadron of the fighter-bomber group believe in advertising their wares and services. In front of each departmental tent on the base, located deep in Germany, is a sign listing the official and unofficial services dispensed therein. The signs have been moved 12 times as Col. Ray J. Stecker's Group kept pace with the ground advance in Normandy to the Elbe river.
