Oil center at Bratislava hit

The oil center at Bratislava was the first Czechoslovakian target hit by bombers of the 15th Air Force. The attack took place on 16 June 1944, a clear sign that inland oil centers of the enemy were now on the Mediterranean Allied Air Forces timetable of destruction. This is a photo of the refinery at Bratislava directly before the attack.
