Nazi plane down over Houston

A Nazi plane goes down in flames before the withering fire of Col. Glenn E. Duncan, American fighter pilot, of 1617 Winbern Ave., Houston, Texas. This photo shows clearly the bullet-torn wing as the blazing Nazi plane hurtles earthward. Notice also the landing wheels, apparently shot up, beginning to unfold. This is a still picture from the motion picture record made by Col. Duncan's gun camera of action over enemy territory. Col. Duncan is one of the leading pilots in the European Theater of Operations. Downed plane is a FW190. Duncan's plane is either a P39 or a P-51.
