Most of these North American P-51 Mustang pilots have not yet visited London, but they are on their way to take off on the first long range fighter escort mission from England to Russia. They carry with them 16 maps to show the route; chocolate bars for food, and a few other bare necessities. Seated left to right in the truck en route from the briefing room to the planes are; Lt.
