Military Police in Kunming

RIGHT IN THE MIDDLE - Army Air Forces Military Police with carbines and sub machine guns guard the south wall of the 10th Air Force Compound in Kunming, China while the Chinese National Army and Yunnan Province Troops fight it out a short distance away. This group is part of the 1389th Military Police Company, Aviation, the only combat troops on duty with the Tenth Air Force. All the other men guarding the area were typists, clerks, drivers and cooks. No American was hurt.
