Stowing a mail bag in the belly tank of a Curtis P-40 "Shark" are S/Sgt. Edward Piecuch, 521 Phillipa St., South Bend, Indiana, and T/Sgt. Stanley Strout, RFD 1, Windsor, Calif. The belly tank "mail bag" was contrived to supplement few and far between mail deliveries at some fields. Enlisted men of the squadron are repairing a battered tank and making a detachable contrivance by utilizing bailing wire and hinges off bomb boxes. 34A mail
