Mechanic checks air strip

air-strip Tec/3 Orren R. Glover, of the Field Artillery Battalion, a mechanic with the 103d division, air O.P. checks new air strip for looseness. The strip is a new innovation; burlap bags are laid on the ground and covered with so-called chicken wire netting and with iron rods. It proves effective against mud. 19 February 1945.
