ME-323 at El Aouina Airdrome
Tunis, Tunisia - Bones of the ME-323, left at El Aouina Airdrome, show the size and construction of this giant. At the left is a side view, together with remains of two of its six Gnome Rhone 14-cylinder, 850 H.P. twin row radial engines. The length is emphasized at the upper right and the lower right is the tail. The ME-323 is covered with metal, plywood and fabric. The wings are tapered and braced to the fuselage, which has two decks. The nose is made up of two large doors for loading.
