Martin B-26 Marauders Attack Bridge North Edge Cecina

Location: North edge of Cecina, on West Coast Route; MR point Q 1730. Attacks: (Note: although original attack was made by Martin B-26 Marauders on 24 December 1943 with 500 lb bombs, the bridge has been unserviceable by repeated attacks. The first of these took place on 17 March 44 by Martin B-26 Marauders. Since then it has been attacked by Martin B-26's and Bell P-39's with 1000 lb bombs on numerous occasions.
